The Wii U

Well, there is a new gaming console coming out on the 18th of November called the Wii U.  It is basically a Wii, but they wanted to try to encorporate tablets into the gaming system, so they took a Wii remote and stuck a screen in the middle of it.  However, there is only one of these tablet remotes per Wii U console, so everybody else that wants to play has to use normal Wii remotes and nunchucks.  I watched a presentation on it by the President of Nintendo America, and frankly I was kinda disappointed.  I really like the Nintendo brand, but they do have one flaw, which is they don't make processing power or graphics a focus in their systems.  So the only difference between this new $300-350 console and the old Wii, is this one controller with a touch-screen (uses a stylus), that is entirely too big!  It's about three times as thick as an iPad! Some people may be excited for it because it represents the new wave of next generation gaming consoles, and I understand that Nintendo focuses mainly on games for smaller kids, but I do wish that they would have done a little bit more to make this console more superior to the Wii.  I think that it will probably take off during the Holiday season, because everything does.  But we will see just how good people think it is a few months after the initial Holiday rush.
